With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Kathy Messina, who passed away on October 25th, 2026, at the age of 72.

Kathy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She touched the lives of so many with her love, kindness, and the memories she created with those closest to her. Her love for her family was at the center of her life, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved mother, Nancy Young, and her brother, James Beck, whom she will hold close in her heart forever.

Her Legacy

Kathy loved Black Friday shopping and could never resist a good deal. She was also famously known as the family’s very own “Gossip Queen.” Her kids quickly learned that if they shared anything with Mom, there was a pretty good chance their siblings would hear about it too. It became a running family joke that you never told Mom anything you weren’t ready for everyone else to know.

Gossip, a good laugh, and keeping up with everyone were just a few of the many things that made her uniquely herself. These are the little things we’ll smile about, laugh about, and miss more than words can say.

Though our hearts are broken by her loss, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace and reunited with loved ones who went before her. The love she gave, the lessons she taught, and the memories she created will live on through the family she cherished so deeply.
